I'm wide awake it's morning

Studying the life of a typical english student, the series documents students simply getting up in the morning. The series realistically depicts our typical start to a day. Some frames were re-enacted from spontaneous moments in which I saw my housemates (as photographed) before hand and hence portray a more realisitc story.

The guy I gave my old pair of shoes to just before I left New York for England.

He lived outside the Manhatten Inn hotel in a telephone box where I was staying at the time.

I would see him and say hello every morning for five days until I left. After I took his photo with a medium format camera on the morning of the last day I brought some new shoes. I gave my old pair to him and said my goodbyes. The photographs are a good example of New New Yorks darker, more realistic side which still entices my interest.
